Tosco Ticciati, a long tradition of wisdom and artisanal heritage
Founded in the early 1970s as artisanal laboratory of workmanship of the hard, semi-precious stones, Opificio Tosco Ticciati continues the Tuscan tradition that began in 1588 in the former San Niccolò monastery, established at the behest of the Grand Duke Ferdinand 1 de’ Medici. The Tosco Ticciati company has always been characterized to be a family firm. The love for the stone, born with the founder Tosco, has been transmitted to his brother, his wife and to Fabio and Cinzia, the second Ticciati generation.
At first a workshop specialized in the production of fine home decorative items, today the company is well known for its highly specialized artisans, remarcable tailor-made creations and unique pieces of art.
A company built on the passion for high craftmanship
Every phase of the Ticciati production is done within the factory, in Montaione, a small town in a hilly area near the city of Florence, in the heart of Tuscany, cradle of the Renaissance and of high craftmanship. Artisanal heritage and experimentation, a constant dialogue between different elements, in order to create unique works of art destined to last in the time. Each working technique follows entirely manual techniques, handed down by Medicean tradition born in the sixteenth century. That is why the name Ticciati is a legacy directly tied up to the stones, to the bronze and to the creation of exclusive furnishings, a unique and inimitable interpretation of the classic style.
Quality as a core value
A central component of the Opificio Ticciati is, today as in the past, the selection of top quality materials. The stone is sourced from every corner of the world, carefully selected and acquired directly from the mine. Surfaces and details are masterfully created, respecting these precious materials of unique timelessness, capable of creating classic as well as contemporary atmospheres, while belonging to such an ancestral tradition. As for the stone, the Opificio Ticciati respects and carries on traditional techniques, protecting them like a precious asset, the added value that makes the difference.
